I grew up in a small town in Georgia. When I wasn’t neck deep in homework, I was reading and writing. Reading allowed me to imagine I was this super confident bold person. In reality though, I was a quiet kid who was always writing some story. To this day, I can still remember how I started every short story in elementary school. “Once upon a time, a little girl was walking home from school and she heard a scream…” Very original, I know.

After graduating with my first degree in 2018, I dabbled for a bit in film. The film sets were fun, but they weren’t something I could see myself doing long term. At the end of 2021, I received my second degree in Website Design & Development. Currently, I am the Web & Graphic Designer at a local Convenience Store/Gas company & at my local Chamber of Commerce.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTO BLOGGING?
During those few months between when I realized I didn’t want to continue working in the film industry and trying to figure out what my next steps were, I decided I wanted to get back into writing. I thought that blogging would be the perfect opportunity to do just that.
WHY GRAPHIC DESIGN? THAT’S A LONG WAYS FROM WORKING ON MOVIE SETS.
One day at the end of 2019, I was having dinner with my mom. I brought up how I didn’t feel working on the movie sets was ideal for me. She responded with, “You can do graphic design. You’ve always loved graphic design.” I, of course, thought she was only telling me that because she’s a real estate agent and she needed someone to design a sign for her. Looking back now though, she was 100% right about my passion for graphic design.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I’m not sure if this technically counts, but I do freelance web & graphic design work for people locally. I also still love reading. One of my goals for 2022 is to read 100 books. I’m currently reading number 27.
WHAT’S ONE GOAL YOU HAVE FOR YOUR BLOG THIS YEAR?
To just have fun. I originally started working on this blog back in 2019, and I got so caught up in making sure I did everything that would one day allow me to make money off this blog. Yeah, making money off it could be great, but I don’t want to focus on that anymore. I just want to write about what makes me happy.
