I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there. You need this one specific font for the presentation you’re working on. You quickly do a search on Google, and find the exact one you’re looking for on a free font website. After downloading the font, you simply move on without thinking again about it. That is until the virus you downloaded with the font starts showing its ugly head.
I’ve honestly downloaded fonts from probably 80% of the font websites out there. To save you the trouble of having to figure out which websites are worth your time, I’ve listed my favorite paid font websites down below.

Google fonts
Google Fonts is a free site and all their fonts are public domain. Meaning, they’re basically free commercial use fonts. These are perfect if you’re looking for foundational fonts.
The fonts available on Google aren’t trendy or cool. They’re just your basic sans serif and serif fonts. If you’re using WordPress for your site and have the Elementor plugin, you’ve already been using Google Fonts.
If you want to use Google Fonts in your Pinterest graphics, you’ll need to download the specific ones you want to your computer. When downloading the Google Fonts, the zipped folder with contain both the font file and the rights to use that specific font commercially.
My favorites at the moment are Shadows Into Light, Barlow Condensed, and Open Sans Condensed.
Creative Market
Creative Market has any font you could possible ask for. They have everything from basic serif fonts to calligraphy fonts. Creative market also has graphics, Lightroom presets, Photoshop brushes, and so much more. This site isn’t free though. The prices range from anywhere from $2 – $500, but I’ve never bought anything from the site that was over $30.
What’s cool about this site is that they offer one free good to you a week, unless you upgrade to the paid plan. With the paid plan, it’s $9.95 a month, and you receive 100 assets free each month. They’re not always fonts, but typically the list contains two or three fonts. Be careful downloading the free goods though. before you download them, click on the name of the ones you’d like to download and make sure that the license isn’t a personal use one.
Some of my favorite fonts include: Dreamland, Always Script, Everlasting, Fairytales, and Louise Walker Script.
Some of my favorite font packages include: The Designer’s Font Bundle and The Trendy Font Bundle.
Etsy
I’ve only recently started purchasing fonts from Etsy. Etsy pretty much has the same fonts available as Creative Market does. The fonts are also often the same price. When choosing which website I should purchase the font from, I will look at the graphics available on each site. Which ever site has the graphics I want/need, that’s the site I’ll purchase the font(s) from as well.
Some of my favorite fonts include: Almond Cookies, Yikes, and Scary Night.
Some of my favorite font packages include: Halloween Font Bundle
